Peter,

15 birders met on a day where quality trumped quantity. We started the day with a look at the continuing painted bunting but the surprise bird of the day was a first winter black-headed gull spotted by Bobbi on prospect lake. One of the most interesting day lists I've ever had in Brooklyn only rivaled by the Cassin's/Le Conte list at Floyd on nov 30 last year. We also managed a woodpecker sweep but only 39 species total on an otherwise quiet day. As always I'm sure I forgot a few but if anyone wants list just email me.

Best,

Dennis

November 14th: "BQ Wildcard"

Leaders Dennis Hrehowsik, Bobbi Manian
Cave Swallow at bottom

Eight birders set out on a windy day on a counter clockwise route
connecting several Brooklyn coastal
birding spots. Without a doubt the
highlight was eye level looks at cave
swallow which was at least a county bird for everyone on trip and a lifer for many at 37th street jetty.

Good
times,

Bobbi and Dennis
