The BBC walk was a big group with lots of keen eyes.
Thanks to all for finding many good birds and to Rafael
who helped out Rob and I.All 3 Wilsonia was nice :)
Birds marked "pm" were mostly without the
group.
Around 3pm birds started bottlenecking/staging
at the Peninsula tip/ South lakeside - spectacular.
50 individual warblers on the Peninsula alone is
probably a conservative estimate as are all numbers
below.

Hi Peter,




We had a very good group today, 15 very patient people! The day started very slowly with very few birds. Even our initial tour of Lookout yielded very few warblers.

However persistence eventually paid off, as well as the skills of the participants, and we ended up with 16 species of warblers

and some other really good birds (like perched Common Nighthawk thanks to keen eye of Janet Schumacher)



I think the sound check for the concert drove the really good birds over to the lullwater....including Pine and Bay-breasted....
