We had a great trip yesterday, with enthusiastic participants

62 species were found on the trip

Highlights included no fewer than 3 foxes seen from the bird platform at Fresh Kills North Park, the female King Eider at Mount Loretto, and the last bird of the trip: a flyover Pileated Woodpecker at Blue Heron Park

January 4th Historic turf of Barrows Golden eye North coast Long Island

Locations: Ransom beach ( Bayville),Centre Island Park, Geissler Beach, Sunken Meadow State Park

High winds on this trip impacted observation but highlights of Redheaded Woodpecker, Red shouldered Hawk, Common Golden eye and White winged scoters fulfilled the day
