Subject: April 12 BBC trip to Staten Island

6 birders were treated to a increasingly delightful day in Staten Island.  No jackets required by noon!
The group found herons and shorebirds at the tidal pond and marshes near the Goethals Bridge, and enjoyed a mix of waterfowl, gulls, swallows, and passerines at several locations along the South Shore.

Group pic from me/a friendly Staten Island birder, Purple Martin pic from Dennis, and all others from Marc.

Thanks all for a terrific day.  Looking forward to the next time.  Thanks to Marc for driving, and thanks to Dennis for driving AND organizing (but not at the same time).
