Hi Peter, et al.
Really fun trip yesterday. Nice breeze, balmy temps compared to the days before, and lots of birds.
I remember 61 species (list below, please let us know what I missed)

Highlights included Black-bellied Whistling-Duck, many Wilson's Phalaropes including one juv bird, 2 Long-billed Dowitchers, (remarkable!), Black Tern, lots of Stilt and White-rumped Sandpipers; and two flocks of Blue-winged Teal, .

John Dean gets the spotters award for the South end, finding lots of good birds.
Adelia gets the triple crown award for first sightings of the Black Tern, Long-billed Dow and Pectoral Sp.

Finally, we got back a little late, as we decided we'd better free Bob after he got severely stuck when we were leaving the North end. We thought it wouldn't look good for the BBC to leave someone behind. And the vultures were starting to circle.

I'll follow up with some pictures later today (probably...) and, as I mentioned, there's a workup of how to tell White-rumped Sandpipers from Semis on The Warbler Guide FB page. (You'll have to do some scrolling to find it as I did it a couple of years ago.)

See everyone again once the Fall Migration walks start up.

Best regards,
Tom
