There were 13 people on the trip to Long Island. As there were rarities being reported on Long Island, we just wen to Point Lookout, Nickerson Beach and Jones Beach. Highlights included Snowy Owl at Nickerson and Razorbills at all locations. Here's the list:

20 birders met Bobbi and me at the Pergola on a balmy New Years morning. (50 degrees warmer than last year!) highlights were common merganser and first of year looks at Carolina wren, fox and swamp Sparrow, northern shovelers, cooper's and red tail hawks. A great start to the year.
