Hear! hear!' screamed the jay from a neighboring tree, where I had heard a tittering for some time, 'winter has a concentrated and nutty kernel, if you know where to look for it.'"

Subject: 2018 BKXMas - Further Information
With a few hours sleep, I finished off clean-up of the count data; this supercedes what I sent to a couple of you last night.
Some updates:
- As I noted last night to a few of you, I didn't unclick a box under "Scoter (sp.)" and these records got included
- Count total reduced from 122 to 121 (sorry)
- Some area totals also affected
- I corrected the notation for count week sightings, necessary to get area tallies right
- Adjustments show in "places x year" report, attached
- Top count area this year was SC (68), followed by FB (67 – new high)
- Also new high for NS
- Saves distributed across 9 of 11 territories
- Was this the first year Breezy led in this category? A number of their saves were rarities.
This is still preliminary, pending end of count week (and any late-breaking sighting information).
Peter, please send me a link to the posting when it's up.
Others, please keep forwarding incoming info and images.
Best,
Rick
