Peter,

Sixteen birders met at Harriman State Park on an unseasonably cool, pleasant and dry day despite a forecast threatening late morning showers. At Doodle Town we managed all the target birds including Cerulean, Hooded, Worm Eating (spotted by Kristin Costello), Yellow Throated Vireo, Olive Sided Flycatcher, Black Billed Cuckoo (2 spotted by Stanley Greenberg) as well as Yellow Billed Cuckoo and Kentucky Warbler that were heard though uncooperative and not seen by all.

At the Sterling Forest Power Cut birders enjoyed long views of a cooperative  GOLDEN WINGED WARBLER spotted by Bobbi Manian which she also found by ear in the first five minutes we were there. The easiest gold wing search ever for me in that location.

A fun day for all thanks for trusting me with the keys to castle on a trip that is the highlight of the spring migration season for many including me.

Best,

Dennis
