Hi Peter,

A fantastic Timberdoodler walk on a frigid late winter morning, with an enthusiastic, sharp-eyed group of new and regular birders.  We scored 6 Timberdoodles (3 together in one spot), a walk record!  our previous high was 4.    other highlights included red and white breasted nuthatch, several Carolina Chickadees happily foraging in a hollowed out tree trunk, crow chasing a RT Hawk, and a raven soaring over Valley Water.  At the start of the walk we had both Kestrel and RT Hawk harassing the parrot nest by the main entrance.  Perhaps looking to coopt a nesting location?  or looking for eggs?

attached some photos from trip participants (Charles and Bobbi)

best,
Bobbi (and Dennis)
