Below is the day list from today's walk. Despite a damp start, there were lots of good birds at Floyd Bennett. The highlight was watching a Clay-colored Sparrow bathing in a puddle that had collected in the top of a plastic 50 gallon barrel. Also, at times there seemed to be more White-crowned Sparrows than White-throated…well, almost. Note that after lunch we left Floyd Bennett Field to try our luck with Prospect Park's Purple Gallinule. The bird was extremely cooperative and everybody went home tired & happy.
