Subject: Thursday death march I mean walk...

Hi Peter,

Hope your eye is getting better.

Today we had a good group (of people that is....) but a very "still" park...you could hear a pin drop, as far as the birds went.
Actually we did manage to eke out some good birds but it was a lot of work....

We finally had 14 species of warblers...top being good looks at Tennessee on Lookout; and a good comparison of Hairy and Downy Woodpeckers working on the same section of the trunk. Also a Ruby-throated Hummingbird came out and fed on flowers in the planter near where we gather to begin. We'd hoped that would be a harbinger of things to come....unfortunately not....

But the highlight of the day for some of us was the Marsh Wren originally found and then re-found by Rafael Campos. It was showing very well in the vale of Cashmere. I'll send a photo or two later.

Here's the list.

Best regards,
Tom
