March 15th Fort Tilden region

Leader Steve Nanz

Hi Everyone,

I really enjoyed our trip yesterday. Adding the birds from Greenwood
(Ring-necked Duck, Redhead, and Monk Parakeet), we saw a total of 49 species!
Not bad for such a windy day. Plus, between the Kestrels, Oystercatchers, and
Snowy Owl dive bombing crows, we got some nice aerial shows.

Thank you all for coming and special thanks to Mira for keeping the list and
spotting the Snowy Owl!
