Brooklyn Bird Club trip: 4/21/12
Summary report from Sandy Paci
Leader: Sandy Paci, plus 8 BBC members: Lenore S, Donna E, Rusty H, Dennis H, Bobbi M, Phil H, Monica B, Lindsey F
Hi Peter,
It was a hardy BBC group that explored Caumsett State Park and Target Rock NWR on Saturday. After lucking out big time on the weather, we made the most of the gorgeous day, birding the entire loop at Caumsett (approx. 6 miles) then walking down to the beach and back at Target Rock (approx. 1 1/2 miles) netting 57 species of birds and 13 species of butterflies.
All in all -- a very enjoyable day with an easy-going and fun group. I hope to see everyone again soon.
Sandy
