February 14th Prospect Centennial walk

Valentines Day BBC Walk

leader: Scott Whittle

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the Brooklyn Bird Club Valentine's Day Walk. We had a relatively calm (and not too cold) day, and may be seeing the first early signs of migration. Highlights included Pine Siskin and female Purple Finch at the Vail of Cashmere, Coopers Hawk near the Breeze Hill Feeders, Sharp-Shinned Hawk over Lookout Hill, and Merlin over the Long Meadow. There was a significant increase in Ruddy Ducks on the Lake, which is now mostly free of ice. Scott
