November 14th: "BQ Wildcard"
Leaders Dennis Hrehowsik, Bobbi Manian
Cave Swallow at bottom |
Eight birders set out on a windy day on a counter clockwise route
connecting several Brooklyn coastal
birding spots. Without a doubt the
highlight was eye level looks at cave
swallow which was at least a county bird for everyone on trip and a lifer for many at 37th street jetty.
Good
times,
Bobbi and Dennis

Hi Peter,
We had a beautiful and colorful fall day for our walk to FBF and Plumb Beach yesterday. Heydi kept us on track and we covered a lot of territory. We saw over 60 species with some great highlights including Royal Tern, Nelson's Sparrow, 3 species of falcon, 10 species of sparrow, lots of golden-crowned kinglets,
Here's the list and a couple of photos from an enjoyable day.
Best regards,
Tom
