Here's a report from the BBC Doodletown trip.
First, thanks to Marisa for all of her help with the registration and with trying valiantly to herd us along, to remind me we needed bathrooms, and to generally keep us on schedule.
It was a great trip. It was a pleasure birding with Rafael, Paul Keim and everyone on the trip. We went to Doodletown and then out to the Sterling powerline.
The highlights of the trip included great, long looks at a singing Kentucky Warbler as well as Louisiana Waterthrush, and Cerulean, Golden-winged, Prairie, Blue-winged, Worm-eating and Hooded warblers. All eventually provided great looks.
Other good sightings included Broad-winged Hawk, Black Vulture, Common Ravens, several Yellow-billed Cuckoos, Pileated Woodpecker, Yellow-throated Vireos, and Cliff Swallow flyovers.
